Who doesn’t love freebies – especially for your blog? Creative Market freebies are the best for this.
All you need to do is sign up for a free Creative Market account and you can immediately download the freebies of the week.
The best part? There are new Creative Market freebies every. single. week.
I signed up last week and got an amazing collection of free fonts, backgrounds, and clipart. Then, I visited their website this week, and downloaded even more free stuff that you see below.
What is Creative Market?
If you are not familiar with Creative Market – you are missing out on a digital arts goldmine.
Creative Market is just what it says – a marketplace of creative assets. From fonts to photos to clipart, backgrounds, patterns and more – it’s all there.
Why I Went to Creative Market
I landed at there because I was looking for a new font to use for text overlays throughout my website.
Bloggers need to focus on branding – so selecting a color scheme and a unique font are part and parcel to that.
So Many to Choose From
The downside, if you can call it that, to Creative Market is that there is so much to choose from, that it is hard to make a decision.
I decided to purchase a single font instead of a bundle, so that I wouldn’t be overwhelmed by choice.
But every time I revisit for the Creative Market Freebies, I start to reconsider that decision because there are so many things that I want to try.
Handwriting Fonts Can Be Tricky
When you visit Creative Market, you may be tempted by one of the beautiful handwriting fonts with the swirly flourishes.
I learned the hard way that you cannot add these flourishes, I think the official term is glyphs, with any old photo editor.
You pretty much need Adobe Photoshop or another app in Adobe Creative Cloud to make use of these fancy letters.
Luckily, I was planning to give Adobe a spin anyway. 😉
Creative Market Freebies are Perfect for Bloggers
So, what are you waiting for? Head over to Creative Market, sign up for a free account, and start downloading fun stuff.
Keep It All Organized
Very important – to keep all your Creative Market freebies from turning into digital clutter, I highly recommend that you come up with a way of organizing it all before you start downloading.
I use GSuite for my business – so I just created a dedicated Creative Market folder on my Google Drive and drop in all my assets as I download them.
This way I:
- know where to look
- and know where a particular creative came from when I use it (for license and copyright purposes).
Stuff to Make a Lovely Blog
There are a lot of great resources out there to make your blog look amazing. Some are free and some you have to pay for.
But if you keep everything organized and within reach – the possibilities are endless.
