Recently, I have been using Kohl’s Coupons and Kohl’s Cash to save a lot of money on things that I need for my family and for my blogging business.
I have to admit that Amazon has always been my “go to” resource for almost anything that I need.
Kohl’s Coupons Offer Amazing Savings
But recently, I have done a lot of shopping at Kohl’s and what I realized is that when Kohl’s coupons are kind of amazing.
Usually, there is a percent off offer going on – typically 15%, 20%, or 30%. And, often, these percent offers are good on both regular and sale prices.
Sometimes, there will be more specialized Kohl’s coupons that are “stackable” – so you can use them in conjunction with the percent off Kohl’s coupons.
For example, around the holidays, I received a “stackable” Kohl’s coupon for an additional 15% off jewelry. I also had a 30% off Kohl’s coupon.
So, I was able to buy a piece of jewelry that had an original price of $40. It was on sale for $18. Then I used the 15% off Jewelry coupon, and stacked on the 30% coupon. My cost was about $10 for a $40 piece of jewelry. Not too bad.
Saving Even More With Kohl’s Cash
Kohl’s Cash is sort of a business gimmick for getting you to come back into the store (online or offline) and shop some more.
The idea is that they hope that you will spend even more than the amount of Kohl’s Cash that you have.
But the thing is, as a consumer, you actually do save quite a bit with Kohl’s Cash. Since Kohl’s carries such a large variety of items – from clothing, to toys, to household goods – you will usually be able to find something that you need, not just something that you kinda, sorta, want.
Kohl’s Cash is offered during a special promotion where Kohl’s will advertise that you can earn $10 of Kohl’s Cash for every $50 that you spend after discounts during a certain period of time.
The Kohl’s cash is only valid during a specific time period in the future (usually a week or so after you “earn” the cash). You come back to Kohl’s and use your Kohl’s Cash to pay for your purchases, but you cannot redeem them for real cash. If there is a coupon available during the redemption period, you can use that, too.
My husband had been looking for a lightweight fleece jacket for awhile. We just happened to have $20 Kohl’s Cash – so he headed off to Kohl’s. He found a nice jacket on sale for $17. So, he used the Kohl’s Cash and basically got the jacket for free.
Again, not too bad.
A Few Things To Remember
Kohl’s Charge Card Holders Get More Kohl’s Coupons
The best Kohl’s coupons are available to Kohl’s charge card holders. If you have a Kohl’s charge, you get tons of coupons in your email and in the regular mail, so it seems like you always have one when you need one.
Read the Fine Print on Kohl’s Coupons
Every coupon has different rules, so it is important to read the fine print on the back of the coupon to understand how you can use it.
- Is it stackable?
- Can you only use it on certain brands or item categories?
- Does it apply to sale items as well as original price?
- What dates is the coupon valid?
- Can you use it both online and in stores?
I Don’t Work for Kohl’s
Just an FYI that I don’t work for Kohl’s. This article is based on my understanding of how Kohl’s coupons work and my own shopping experience.
