Sort Through Your Water Bottle Collection
There are many unique ways to control the clutter – which I will show you below. But you can find my number one method for organizing water bottles here – and it is a really good place to start.
Before you go looking for storage solutions for the many water bottles you might have, sort through them and donate or give away the ones you don’t want.
You may find that you actually don’t need extra bottle storage if you do a good job at culling your collection.
But if you still are short on space – one of these 8 options may work really well for you.
Clear Plastic Storage Bins
The simplest storage solution (that you probably already have lying around the house) is using clear plastic storage bins for the water bottles that you don't use too often.
Fill these up, label the box with Post It Labels or make something fancier on your Cricut machine.
Place this box in your pantry, storage closet, or basement for easy access.
Stackable Water Bottle Storage Organizer
To make the most of your cabinet space - a great idea is to use a stackable water bottle storage organizer.
By laying your water bottles horizontally you can take advantage of vertical space in your cabinet.
You will also be able to see all of your water bottles at a glance and won't need to rummage into the back looking for the one you want.
If you prefer to store the lids off of the bottles (because sometimes they are still a bit wet inside from washing) - you can toss the lids into a clear storage container or mixing bowl on the shelf above.
Under Sink Organizer
Utilize the space underneath your kitchen sink by storing water bottles in this glide out organizer. This way they will be close to the sink for easy fill up.
You can use the bottom shelf to hold bottles up to 10 inches high and use the top tray for the lids.
Hanging Shoe Organizer
If you have a pantry with a normal style door, then this solution might work for you. You could use a hanging shoe organizer and use each slot for one water bottle.
The one pictured here has one pocket for each shoe which I think would work better for water bottle storage than a style that has a single pocket for a pair of shoes.
Narrow Sliding Organizer
Repurpose a narrow lower cabinet to store water bottles with a slide out shelf like this one.
Just make sure that the sides on the slide out that you choose are high enough to keep the water bottles contained - so they don't tip over the edge.
Under Shelf Basket
Use an under shelf basket to store your water bottles underneath your cabinet or pantry shelves.
This is a space saving storage solution that takes advantage of vertical space.
Drawer Organizers
You can also organize water bottles in a drawer.
If you have a deep kitchen drawer, you can use some drawer organizer bins like these.
The sides of the bins keep the water bottles from rolling around in the drawer and makes them easy to find.
Non-Skid Lazy Susan
My least favorite option, but still worth mentioning, is a non skid lazy susan type turntable,
Because lazy susan's are round, you really end up wasting a lot of cabinet space around the perimeter.
And if a water bottle tips over near the back of your cabinet, then it can be hard to reach.
However, it does make finding a water bottle pretty convenient - and if you have one of these in your home already, it might be worth a try.
Remember to Measure Your Space
No matter what storage solution works best for you – be sure to measure before you buy.
Everyone’s cabinets and drawers are different in size and depth – so measure first to ensure a good fit.
How Do You Store Water Bottles At Home?
Storing water bottles in a small kitchen is tricky. But you can see that thinking outside the box can help you find a nook or a usable area in an unusual spot.
You can use “offsite” storage by placing your extra bottles in bins and putting them in a basement or storage closet.
Or take advantage of vertical space by storing your water bottles horizontally on stackable racks or in under shelf baskets.
The back of a pantry door becomes useful with a hanging shoe organizer.
And you can also use lower cabinets or deep kitchen drawers for this purpose.
Look around your kitchen and look for space that is under utilized. Then think creatively to find the best water bottle storage for your specific circumstance.
Happy organizing!
